Expos – Make it Worthwhile!

It can be somewhat daunting attending your first business expo. But by simply following these few tips, you’ll feel a huge increase in your positivity and confidence. Let’s learn how to maximise expo profits!

1. It’s all about the stand.

Your stand/table set up is the make or break when enticing people to engage with you. Make your stand attractive, bright, and tidy. Do something different. Think – what would attract YOU over to a stand? We had our logo professionally printed onto a table cloth and it made all the difference.


2. Giveaways and freebies.

Have an eye-catching giveaway. It’s a great icebreaker for getting people to engage with you. Our giveaways usually come in the form of a Freddo Frog Bouquet & wine. Because who doesn’t enjoy chocolate and wine? Freebies are useful too. Something as simple as a free lollipop or little goodie bag always draw a crowd.


3. Business card draw.

Now that you have an eye-catching gift, you need people to enter the draw to win! The easiest way this can be done is through a business card draw. This also enables your company to obtain each entrant’s details for their CRM database. Tip: put an asterisk next to the business cards that are more likely to use your product/service to be specifically re-targeted post-expo.


4. Network with the other exhibitors!

It’s a good idea to bring two staff, one to stay by the table and network with visitors. One to wander throughout the expo networking with the other stalls. A lot of the time the other exhibitors make just as good business as the expo visitors.


5. Keep energies high!

Caffeine… Just kidding! But in all seriousness, one of the biggest compliments we received on the day was about our bright, friendly and enthusiastic way we greeted people. Put out the energy you want to attract.
